[Press Release] Huons N, a lifecare solutions company under Huons Group, is strengthening its manufacturing capabilities by acquiring a health functional food (HFF) manufacturer Biorosette Co., Ltd.
Huons N has announced on November 17 that the company has acquired 250 thousand shares in Biorosette, incorporating it as a wholly-owned subsidiary.
Through this acquisition, Huons N plans to leverage its existing value chainㅡfrom raw material research and development to manufacturing and export—to respond more flexibly to the increasing export volumes and enhance its market responsiveness and growth pace.
Biorosette is a specialized OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) and ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) manufacturer in HFF. Since its establishment in 1986, it has provided one-stop service encompassing planning, development, production, and after-sales service. Biorosette is equipped with capability to produce six types of formulations and nine types of packaging, utilizing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) certified facilities. This enables Biorosette to offer customized production, allowing it to maintain long-term partnerships with major corporations including CJ Wellcare, Daesang Wellife, and Kyung Nam Pharm.
Moreover, Biorosette is armed with the R&D capabilities required to develop high-quality HFF. Biorosette is currently developing individually recognized functional food ingredients based on hawthorn berry extract and bamboo extract derived from bamboo sheath. Approval as an individually recognized ingredient from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) secures six-year exclusive rights for manufacturing and sales.
Huons N was launched as an integrated company of Huons' HFF business and its subsidiary Huons Foodience last May. Since then, Huons N is actively expanding its product portfolio by acquiring the women's health brand 'Mysitol' and introducing new products based on naturally derived individually recognized functional food ingredients.
Huons N’s flagship brands include 'Menolacto', a best-selling probiotic for women's menopausal health, and 'Sagunja', designed for men's prostate health. Huons N offers a diverse range of products, including those dedicated to improving cognitive function. Spearheading the 'K-Health Functional Foods' wave, Huons N's exports now span 14 countries and the company is continuing to expand its global footprint.
Huons N plans to generate new growth momentum by leveraging newly acquired Biorosette's manufacturing infrastructure, Huons N's proprietary R&D capabilities, and global network to enhance product competitiveness and supply chain stability.
